Do you belong in Windy City?

“More great news is that The Windy City Blues Society is rapidly picking up steam. Like most “overnight” success stories, there have been a whole lot of behind-the-scenes efforts that will likely go unheralded. I intend to do a feature on them soon. I think it’s an interesting story and I know a lot of blues lovers have worked very hard for this cause. The entire blues community, including players, venues and fans stand to benefit greatly from the WCBS. WCBS recently hosted an “instant friends” night at the Rosa’s Lounge. Lurrie Bell’s performance alone was worth the trip, but hey, how can you pass up instant friends? Keep your eyes open for their rich schedule of events
and just do what I say and join. I was the first kid on my block to join so I know what I’m talking about. Please check out the gallery from “instant friends” night with Lurrie Bell on stage.
I hope you remembered to vote in the Blues Blast Award competition. Whether or not you voted, if you move fast you may still be able to get tickets to see the award show. The list of performers scheduled is worth the trip.”
