Tomiko Dixon, offered Vice President of Windy City Blues Society

The Board of Directors of the Windy City Blues Society officially offered Tomiko Dixon the position of Vice President on March 23rd 2019 The date is significant because it marks the 9th anniversary of the WCBS becoming Incorporated.

Tomiko took an interest in the WCBS last year at the 2018 Chicago Blues Fest and has been a great help in promoting the September Windy City Blues Fest in Lyons, and in helping get judges for and recruit bands in the Chicago Blues Challenge.

Tomiko has a wealth of knowledge and connections in the blues world. She is the Grand Daughter of the Blues and has done a great deal for the Dixon Brand. The Windy City Blues Society is so honored and humbled to have living blues tradition as company. WE hope Tomiko accepts our offer.

I know she will help make the organization more solid and ready for future growth.

Eddie Taylor Jr., Siblings and family

Blues is very different in the Eddie Taylor Family. They are WEST SIDE Chicago Blues with all it’s good and bad. I have known this crew since the early 80’s Chicago Blues Fest. It is tragic that Eddie Jr. passed, Brenda lost her husband and a grandmother passed recently.

Gob bless the siblings and the rest of the family, you are a Chicago Treasure.

Here is a video of Eddie from the 2018 Windy City Blues Fest

WE have one of Demetria as well
