About Us

The Windy City Blues Society is an all volunteer  organization based in Chicago, Illinois. We are a proud affiliate member of the Blues Foundation. Our mission is to preserve, promote, and enhance blues music and the blues community; support blues education, and promote the Chicago area blues scene including its blues musicians.

We intend to connect all aspects of the Chicagoland blues community – artists, labels, blues clubs, and fans. We also intend to leverage the Chicagoland tourism infrastructure to help support our local blues scene. Our plans for this year include starting our Blues In the Schools program, sending local artists to the International Blues Competition, and building our membership.
